  • Please note : We are using the Submittable platform to receive submissions and process payments.

    Submittable is an easy to use platform, you simply create your own submittable account by clicking on the link we have provided on our website. When you have completed creating your account you will be automatically taken to our application form to fill out. This is the link to their help centre for detailed guides on their platform.

  • The submission form requires the following:

    Name, Email, Phone, Medium, Artist Bio, Artist CV( Optional for the Young Artist category), Artwork Description (provide basic info on artwork submitted), Artist Website (Optional), Social Media Handles (Optional). You will also have an area to upload all your work.

    Please note that editing is allowed before the deadline, and you can come back and adjust your submission easily, at any time, before actually submitting as long as you submit before the deadline. However, once you have paid and submitted you cannot add any additional paid images.

  • If you do not have extensive experience and/or have never written a CV, don’t worry. This is a practical guide on how to write your CV as an emerging artist.

  • Yes, from the 5th Edition we began to accept video files so that artists can showcase their sculptures.

  • No, we do not require your physical works to be sent to us for the judging of this Award. This competition is solely online.

  • Your image should have a MAX file size of 25MB.

  • Once you submit, you will receive an automatic email confirmation that we have received your submission and payment, this email does not require a response, they are simply for your records. After this, there is nothing more for you to do, at the close of judging you will be contacted with an announcement of finalists on the 15th April 2023, then winners on the 20th April 2023.

  • The entry fee for the Young Artist category is $25 for 3 artworks and $7 for each additional work (MAX 10 works).

    The entry fee for the Professional Artist category is $35 for 3 works and $10 for each additional work (MAX 10 works).

  • The winning artist will be able to discuss their preferred dates for their solo exhibition with the Smart Artist Hub team.

  • Yes, you can submit artwork that has been put into exhibition, submitted to another award or sold.

  • The 3 first images can be the same work, however we recommend you include 3 different works so that we can see more of your portfolio.
